Trip to Dortmund

Back from Dortmund, Germany.

I've been visiting my good old friend Felix in Dortmund. We celebrated his birthday with a big party in his old flat where his friends showed up including me and Benoit from France. It's been a very good experience with everything from nice people to nice food, and off course extremely nice beer and jägermeister. Got to see a little of Essen, but mainly Dortmund. Always nice to find how much one can experience in just 4 days, everything from new surroundings, ways of thinking, people and interesting encounters. There where bonus happenings also. I met two swedish girls on the plane to Germany, one who got my number and email so we will stay in touch. On my way back a guy from New Zeeland living in Australia talked about everything from his life in Australia, Essen and this being his first trip to Europe. He left me his email and two bottles of australian wine and an invitation to Australia.

The Band

I'm playing in a band again. This time it's serious. We have a gig coming up in two weeks with 20 songs in the repertoire - so its been alot of rehearsing lately. Three hours, two times per week, in a studio only 5 minutes south of downtown Stockholm. I like that we are all from different places - Sweden, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Italy and Kroatia. All of us settled in Sweden, not just visiting. Lets see how it works out.

BTW. Check out the all female death/blackmetal band Matriarch from Puerto Rico. Finally some women who kick serious metal ass!
