Varitations - Death wish

It’s been a couple of minutes, maybe more, maybe less. It’s dead quiet. The air is thick with tension that I cut through with my blearing eyes. My eyes are narrowing, scrutinizing every part of the car. All over the interior, the dashboard, the windows, the heads of people, and the back of people, my mind wanders. No one is looking at me - no one is looking at anyone. I’m being left out. I can sense it. Something is not right.

Yolanda is looking out the window, she starts pushing Raúl like she wants to wake him up. He remains motionless, droopy, like a sack of potatoes spilling over unto the floor. With a jolt, he reacts.

“What the hell Yolí!”
“Stop this shit Raúl, look at him he isn’t scared, he looks pissed as hell.”

All eyes on me, grinning faces that rip into my head.

“I’ve been fooled. These bastards were just kidding around. I should have seen it coming.”

If I could, I would steer this piece of shit car into a nearby police car. With only me as the sole survivor, I would stand triumphantly laughing at these idiots bad joke gone wrong.

“There’s no police, what the hell. We just wanted to see your reaction.”
“C’mon man, it was only a joke, don’t get mad.”

I’m not mad, I answer. I’m just tired.

“Let’s go to Eddies place. We can watch some ‘traces of death’ while we wait for Miguel to call.”
“What about José, is he coming?”
“Don’t think so, he works nightshift at Blockbusters tonight, the sucker.”

Our car slows down, makes a right turn and leaves the sun setting in the back. Eddie’s house towers in front of us. Some dogs run besides the car.

Soon we will be sitting in Eddie’s giant water bed, drinking Medalla beer and listening to the new cd of ‘Death’. I hope Maya is there, she’s always cool. Usually she can handle her boyfriend.

Yes, Juán can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.

Variations

“Hurry get up, I think Juán yelled water!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.”

We hurry down the concrete slope, down the road leading away from the highway bridge. Eddie, a fat teenager with long black hair and me, the new kid. The people waving at us from a distance are our friends, I think. We run towards them. Eddie tells me our only means of escape is with that guy, the ‘what’s-his-name-again’ with the car. Maybe it’s the guy patting Juán’s shoulder and grinning like hell.

“Hurry pendejos, I’ve been yelling water ages ago!”

Again I find myself in a car packed with people. I get an elbow from Raúl, Yolanda’s hair in my face, and Fifo’s new Dr. Martens shoes on top of me. We are in a hurry. The driver isn’t slow in making us understand this, putting his foot harder on the gas pedal. Outside buildings flicker passed and the heat inside the car suffocates me. There is no sound. Everything is mute.

“No sirens, no blue light, nothing - what the hell Juán!”

I want to scream out my frustration. I don’t know half of these people. Hell I don’t even know why the police would be chasing us! I try burrowing myself into the corner. With the help of Fifo’s body pressing upon me I almost succeed. I’ll just close my eyes and soon all of this will be over.
I hope...

Oktoberfest in Münich

I went to oktoberfest in Münich almost two weeks ago.
Havent blogged about it earlier. Partly because the HELLSPAWNED autobahn traffick to Münich still clouded my experience from Oktoberfest. What really made the trip worthwhile were my friends.

We had great fun altough it rained and later we got too drunk to stay or know exactly where we were going while walking the streets of Münich.

I found Oktoberfest in Münich to be quite stressful. The rain contributed to alot of people having to seek cover inside the tents, adding to an extremely crowded place. But if you are with good company it doesnt matter. I am very grateful for having the friends I have. Thank you for turning a grey moment into a great moment of sharing and throwing all worries out the window.

Picture: Thats Felix and me smoking some kind of Oktoberfest tobacco. This was in the morning, after several 'maß' of beer (1 liter muggs).

Para Los de Antes

A los que me conocen desde antes, en la isla que conocemos como la isla verde.

Hace tiempo que no he visto a ustedes.

A Big World - A Bigger Harddrive

Maybe your wondering who this kid is. Well this is the french kid singer Jordy, you remember the kid that sang '' Oh là là bébé, c'est dur dur d'être bébé...'' (song title: Its tough to be a baby).

I have this thing with downloading stuff on my computer that I hope will surprise me later on in the future. When it comes to music theres no exception.

There have been several times (on parties Ive arranged) that friends have used my computer to play downloaded songs they like from my harddrive. I dont know many of the bands Ive downloaded, so its always cool to see someone playing songs that I would never have played myself.

But off course there are also songs that are a BIG exception.

My friend Julien wanted me to talk about this french 'one hit wonder' Jordy. Julien is one of my friends from France, who at a party at my place found this downloaded song on my computer. He still reminds me of this incident from time to time - with a big smile on his face.

Ok here we go.

Jordy Lemoine. This 4-year old french kid had an international hit with the aforementioned song in the early 90s. I have googled enough on this kid to see some pictures that are either tooo cute, or simply too cute (in an uneasy way). But ok Julien, I will try to continue.

Stuff I got from the internet:

Jordy got in the guiness book of world records for being the youngest person to go to number 1 on the songcharts.
He now is 17 years old.
He doesnt sing anymore.
He makes techno music.

Ok, thats all.

Take care Julien, until we meet again, hehe
