Why do I stay in Sweden!?!

Why do I wait???

Im such a sucker.
Sitting here listening to Kings of Convenience and At The Gates at random fits of bipolar chatarsis'.

The German couple hasnt shown up. I even left a big stack of newspapers to block the door downstairs, just in case.

Listening to the plucking of happy strings, and I feel plucked myself - out of my comfort zone, out of my routine.

Maybe thats good, Ive heard (or seen on TV) that it keeps a person young - at age 28 maybe I should start sky diving or swim with sharks....

...or hang around more German people...

The Dinner

Picture this:
Two long tables set with all the food necessary for a nice taco dinner.
Wine, beer, drinks...bla bla...
Eight students of different nationalities.
Intense conversations and swaying hands, gestures that stir the atmosphere into a festive frenzy.

Suddenly - a beautiful girl walks into the room.
All eyes on her - some say hello, others continue eating and drinking.
5 minutes later - one of the Germans looks at his girlfriend while he says aloud:

''Wow did you see that nice girl, hehe - everyone was looking at her, höhö, who is she?'

Stop:
Would you say something like this if your partner was sitting in front of you?
I guess not.
I wouldnt.
But this German guy did, and I can recount at least five more embaressing moments with either this guy or other Germans.
Dont get me wrong, I like Germans - but why are they sooooo strange???

Whats up with Germans???

Ok, its Wednesday. Its 'allhuset night' (pub) and off course the Germans want to go out and 'have fun'.

No problem, as long as we are there before 10pm we dont have to pay entrance, and even if we dont make it we just pay 30 swedish crowns (3 dollars). Thats not so bad.

But no, the Germans are feeling uneasy. We have to be sure we meet up in time and that you (refering to me) can meet us in your room at 9pm sharp (what if I have other things to do? or even worse, maybe I dont even want to go out with them???)

I have grown quite tired of these 'arrangements' - just get a mobile phone and leave me and my friends alone!
